Security Reforms at US Ports

Cargo security legislation in the form of the Port Security Improvement Act has been passed by the US Senate. Its intention is to implement security reforms at US ports -including improved cargo screening standards and incentives to importers to enhance their security measures and to put in place a framework to ensure the successful resumption of shipping in the event of a terrorist attack.
