Permitted Trade

Trading with Iraq must be in accordance with strict compliance with the UN Sanctions. Exceptions to the sanctions known as the Oil for Food programme is strictly controlled by the United Nations and UN inspectors. Only two loading facilities are permitted by the UN to export oil from Iraq. Non compliance with UN Sanctions could result in severe penalties.
