Navigation lights and chart deficiencies lead to increased PSC detentions

The Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) has issued a Circular stressing the need to properly maintain navigation lights and to only use up-to-date charts and nautical publications. The MPA has detained an increasing number of ships recently during port state control (PSC) inspections for deficiencies in these areas.
